Amber Hayzlett, LCSW
Therapist & Owner (She / Her)
Your inner wisdom holds more answers than you realize—you just need the space to uncover them. I strive to create a place where you can show up as your true self, exploring the parts of you that feel wounded or alone. As a clinician, I bring both my professional expertise and a deep belief in the power of therapy. From experiencing its impact on my own life, I have come to deeply understand the significance of having someone hold your story with unwavering compassion and empathy. My hope is to be a safe, steady presence as you journey towards healing.

Values
Authenticity
I spent most of my youth as a perfectionist and an overachiever, but I found my anxiety growing despite my success. Through my experience in therapy, I have learned that my best self is my most authentic self. I believe that our greatest gift to the world is our authentic selves and so as a clinician, my hope is that my authenticity gives you permission to explore your true self without fear of judgment.
01.
Curiosity
The opposite of a critical mind is a curious one. Often my clients find their way to me with deep wounds and unkind minds. It’s through curiosity that we are able to uncover alternative meanings and practice loving kindness to ourselves.
02.
Presence
I find that in our society it isn’t common to experience someone’s full attention. Therapy is a sacred space where we get to be with one another without distraction. I believe there is healing in connection to another human being and having someone witness our life.
03.
Outside of Work
What makes you feel alive?
I’m an enneagram 8w7, an introverted extrovert, Capricorn, and a cat mom to Joe and Ardie. I love being outdoors in the sunshine and trees. I feel absolutely giddy when I go to an airport and set out on an adventure to experience other places and cultures.
What do you like to read in your free time?
I love fantasy and historical fiction. I’ve also come to enjoy graphic novels specifically those written by Jeff Lemire. His art and storytelling will break your heart in the most beautiful way.
What’s a quote or mantra that you live by?
Do things that make for peace. It’s not how you feel, it’s how you act.

“When you feel like you need more grit or persistence, what you need is more help. When you feel like you need more discipline, what you need is more kindness. And when you look at someone else and feel like they need more grit, what they need is more help. And when you look at someone else and think they need more discipline, what they need is more kindness”
